Mt. Annapurna in Nepal is the 10th highest mountain in the world with a height of 8,091 m. The 8 Days Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek helps you understand the living condition of the people in the Annapurna Base Conservation.

It gives you closure to the flora, fauna, and vegetation of the region. We proceed to top the Annapurna Base Camp after passing the famous Gurung village of Ghandruk (2,012 m). En route, you can enjoy a hot bath at the Jhinu Hot Spring and the nightlife of Lake Side while in Pokhara.

This short trip to Annapurna Base Camp will leave you with a lifetime memory which will be hard to forget.

On our first day, we take a tourist from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Pokhara is about 200 km away from the capital city, and it takes about 7 hrs (approx).

We reach Pokhara by evening after which you can rest at the hotel or go out on your own to explore Lake Side.

Stay overnight at Hotel Third Pole or something similar in Pokhara.

From Pokhara, we drive to Siwai, which lies about 3 hr away from the tourist capital city of Nepal. We reach Siwai after passing Naudanda, Nayapul, and Birethanti along the way.

The trail from Siwai to Chhomrong is incredible. We cross a suspension bridge across Kimronng Khola which leads you straight to Jhinu Danda (1,690 m). From Jhinu Danda we head straight to Chhomrong and along the way you can enjoy the picturesque views of Annapurna III (7,555 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), Macchapuchre (6,993 m), and Hiunchuli (6,441 m).

Stay overnight at teahouse/guesthouse/lodge in Chhomrong.

We start with a warm-up walk down to the river and cross a bridge after which we reach Sinuwa (2,330 m). The trail then stretches into a thick rhododendron and pine forest after which we reach Bamboo that lies on the Modi River's gorge.

After passing Bamboo, we walk for an hour to reach Dovan, and then finally Himalaya Hotel that lies on the foothills of the Hiunchuli peak.

From Himalaya Hotel, our trek continues to reach Annapurna Base Camp, but first, we enter Hinko cave. After the cave, we head towards Deurali and follow Modi River to reach Macchapuchre Base Camp (3,700 m).

Have lunch at MBC and head towards Annapurna Sanctuary where lies the Annapurna Base Camp. Two hours from the base camp and we reach our main destination, Annapurna Base Camp.

In the evening you can enjoy the view of the mountains like Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna South, Gangapurna (7,445 m), Annapurna III, Mt. Machhapuchre, and many others.

Follow the trail back from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo. From here onwards its a slow and steady walk downhill. We first hike down to Modi Khola and reach Bamboo, which is a small village with a handful; of lodges and teahouses.

Today's destination is Jhinu Danda. After a quick breakfast, we head to Kuldhigar, where the head office of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) is located.

We cross the bridge over Chhomrong River in Sinuwa to reach the Gurung village of Chhmorong. A short walk from here and we reach Jhinu Danda.

Relax your muscles by taking a dip at the Jhinu Hot Water Spring.

Spend the night at a lodge in Jhinu Danda.

Today we head back to Pokhara from Jhinu Danda by trekking down to Nayapul. From here we can catch a bus or book a private vehicle back to Pokhara.

Stay at Hotel Third Pole.

Drive back to the capital city following the road on the banks of Trishuli River.

No cancellation charges will be imposed on the clients before 30 days of the departure date. After the end of the deadline, deposited funds won't be refundable.

Good to know

Carry all your necessary items like camera, windcheaters, and medical supplies in your daypack so you can have easy to your items during the 8 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Porters will carry 20-25 kg from your main bag.

Clients are requested to carry all necessary documents before leaving their respective country, to prove their identity in Nepal.
