Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is a popular adventure trek in Nepal; it is renowned as one of the most difficult. It is ideal for trekkers who have prior experience in trekking and can trek to places that are above the elevation of 5000 meters. Ascending the Dhampus peak entails necessary skills of mountaineering like using ice axes as well as crampons. You must have high mountain trekking experience for Dhaulagiri circuit trek; a lack of knowledge could cost you your life so be careful. On average, trekkers need to walk around five to seven hours each day to reach Dhaulagiri Base Camp.
You need to do the Dhaulagiri trek in snow-covered paths at 5000 meters and above on this Dhaulagiri summit. You must have the physical fitness along with the willpower to accomplish the Dhaulagiri circuit trek. Again, the Dhaulagiri expedition area is icy, which adds to its adventure and difficulty. The Dhaulagiri trek is a camping trek so you will not find cosy places for lodging facility; you have to make do with whatever is available. The Dhaulagiri trek is not appropriate for trekkers at beginners’ level or people visiting for the first time. More the experience, more comfortable and rewarding the Dhaulagiri trek will be for you. Also, you should carry the necessary gear for this journey to accomplish it well in time. All in all, Dhaulagiri circuit trek is a strenuous trek which is suitable for veteran trekkers.

Favourable Time To Do The Dhaulagiri Trek
The weather around the Dhaulagiri expedition is unpredictable and subject to change at any time of the day. Whatsoever, there are different months marked as better for trekking there.
a. Autumn
Autumn season falls in the months from September to November. This season is the best for Dhaulagiri circuit trek. The weather allows unobstructed views of those mountains and the surrounding of this region. It is the best time to immerse yourself in the serenity and natural beauty of this area.
b. Spring
Spring season falls in the months from March to May. This time is best for observing wildlife and vegetation. And, it is suitable for savouring the mountain panorama. You will fall in love with the scenic natural beauty of this region. The forests bloom with rhododendron, and the landscape gets greener.

Summer season falls in the months from June to August. The terrain gets greener during these months. For someone keen about the ecology, this time is perfect for you. However, there is monsoon rain which makes the trail slippery and challenging to walk on. Also, there is a high chance of flood and landslide. Leech infestation is an issue too. We recommend to not do Dhaulagiri trek in monsoon if you dislike unpredictability; this is because the weather gets unstable and you might have to separate weather working days.
d. Winter
Winter season falls in the months from December to February. The mountains are in their best shape during winter, but it is incredibly chilly. It is even risky to do the Dhaulagiri trek at this time. Snow covers the trekking track. When there is heavy snowfall, the teahouses are not open.
