You reach the Tribhuwan International airport for Island Peak Expedition and go to the hotel of your stay. After eating breakfast, we board the morning flight to Lukla from Tribhuwan International airport. This scenic flight has to offer amazing views of the diverse landscape of Nepal. As soon as we get to Lukla, we meet the trekking group and make all the necessary arrangements. We move along the village of Lukla as we head to Phakding. This day marks the first day of Island Peak Expedition. Phakding is the place where we stay on this day. There is a monastery we can visit in Phakding. Stay in Phakding overnight.

After we grab breakfast, we walk past a dense forest of pines as we move along the river, Dudh Koshi. We spot the Mt. Thamserku as we trek for an hour. There are juniper, fir, pine trees in the lush green jungle we walk across. If the weather is clear and stable, Mt. Everest is visible form Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. We get to the entry point to Sagarmatha National park, namely, Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the entrance spot to Everest and the major trading area in this region. We cross five suspension bridges on this day. We walk uphill to reach Namche. We stay at a hotel in Namche Bazaar.

We use this day of Island Peak expedition for relaxation and acclimatization. Since we have been scaling higher altitude, it is essential to do it gradually not to have altitude sickness. It is necessary to stay active during this period. We can roam around Namche Bazaar and explore the nearby surrounding. This day will be great for exploring the local culture and interacting with the locals. We have the choice to go hiking to Everest View Hotel. The might Everest peak is observable from there. Also, there is a local museum where you can get deeper insights into the vegetation and wildlife of this area.
Also, we could go to the Khumjung village for a hike; it takes around 5 to 6 hours. There is Edmund Hillary school along with the ancient Khumjung monastery in the town. Stay in Namche Bazaar overnight.

After breakfast, we head to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar on this day of Island Peak Expedition. We walk from Namche towards Phunki. The trail leads upwards from Phunki to Tengboche. A famous monastery resides in Tengboche, which is the largest in the Everest region. We may spot the Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse and Lhotse here. Overnight stay in Tengboche.

We go to the Tengboche monastery and rejuvenate in the nearby environment. We descend for an hour and cross a river. We ascend and move upwards across the dry track. We reach Pheriche en route Pangboche village. You will see a helipad which serves the purpose of helicopter evacuation there. Pheriche has a medical clinic; mountain specialists provide classes here. You can get a helicopter evacuation facility if necessary, with travel insurance. Stay at Pheriche overnight.

After eating breakfast, we move to Dugla. We move upwards on the steep path across Khumbu glacier and walk down to Chupki Lhara. Prayer flags adorn the site and there stand memorials for American mountaineer Scott Fisher and Babu Chiri Sherpa; he scaled the Mt. Everest for ten times and lost his life in a similar attempt. The path takes us to Khumbu glacier. If the weather is clear, Lingtren, Khumbutse, Pumori and Mahalangur will be noticeable. Overnight stop at Lobuche.

We walk along the Gorak Shep Lake. You might spot the memorials for mountaineers. The walk will feel strenuous as we walk up. We cross rocky dines, pristine streams and moraines before we step on EBC. There will be tents standing in vibrant colours across the dull, grey texture of the Himalayas. Khumbutse, Pumori and Nuptse stand tall here; we can see them. We go back to Gorak Shep overnight.

On this day of Island Peak Expedition, we get up at 12 am or 1. We eat breakfast and start the ultimate Island Peak climb. Our target is to get to the summit before it is noon. The reason for this is that the wind is stronger around this region at that time. We move across a path that is the first sandy, and then grassy. It turns bolder-strewn later. The trail gets narrow and rocky afterwards. We walk across a bridge and to the glacier snout. When we reach the summit ridge, we take the rope and use it for the climb. The rope length relies on the season as well as crevasses. We use ladders for crossing crevasses. After a beautiful climbing experience, we return to Base Camp. We celebrate after the successful completion Island Peak climb.

We return to Imja Khola first. We head to Tengboche and go to Tengboche monastery when we get there. After we eat lunch, we walk along the hillside where there are rhododendron and juniper trees. We cross the Dudh Koshi river by a bridge and follow along the gorge. We ascend to reach Sanasa. If we are lucky, we will see colourful pheasants, mountain goats and snow leopard. Finally, we reach the army camp at Namche Bazaar. We stay at Namche Bazaar.
