The Main Climb
After we pass the Base Camp, we move along the ridge to get to a broad saddle. It is at an altitude of 5150 meters. We can spot Mingbo La from here. We turn north towards a steeper path where we come across a boulder field.
We head to the bottom point of the boulder field and move up to a ridge. We ascend to get to Camp 1. There are 4/5 tent platforms in this place.
We walk across the snow-covered part around Camp 1. We go east to a ridge where we can walk comfortably. The path gets narrow, making it difficult even to walk. We will see the Yellow Tower below Camp 2. The tower is at a 15-meter pitch below Camp 2. This pitch is cumbersome to climb.
From the ride, our team gets to Camp 2 at the altitude of 5900 meters. There is lesser space in Camp 2 for camping. Due to this reason, many times trekkers put the equipment in camps and go to camp 1/ straight to Camp 3 for sleeping.
Now we move on a snow ridge as we transverse to the east. To reach the Mushroom ridge, we go forward on the snow slope for some time. We walk on the steep snow-covered path until we get to Camp 3 (6300 meters).
We climb to the right of a peak on ice slopes and snow. We get to the snowfield below Bergschrund. We move to an ice crest after crossing the Bergschrund. We climb the main summit afterwards. In this way, Ama Dablam Base Camp trek comes to an end.
