Stationed in the scenic village of Bungamati in Lalitpur Metropolitan - 22, the Bungamati Community Homestay offers a unique opportunity to experience the rich culture and heritage of the Newari community. The homestay community comprises four operating homes and a guest house with nine rooms, providing a total of 17 beds. To reach the homestay village, you can conveniently catch a bus from Satdobato in Lalitpur.

Bungamati is renowned for its attractions, showcasing the region's vibrant cultural tapestry. Hayagriva Bhairav, Bungadya (Karunamaya), Bungamati Mandir, Machindranath Adinath Temple, Chowar Galchi, and Jaal Binayak are among the notable sites that captivate visitors. Explore these landmarks and immerse yourself in the local Newari culture, traditions, and artistic heritage, which is reflected in the intricate wooden artefacts and handicrafts found in the village.

Delight in the flavours of Newari cuisine as you savour authentic dishes prepared by local Newars. The homestay offers a warm, welcoming environment where you can enjoy the community's hospitality. Additionally, you have the opportunity to embark on a short hike to nearby destinations like Godawari or Phulchowki, where you can further appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

Upon your arrival in Bungamati, the members of the homestay community will extend a warm welcome to you through a special Welcome program. Similarly, on your departure, a Farewell program will be organized, accompanied by a Token of Love as a gesture of appreciation for your stay. The homestay offers comfortable guest rooms with clean drinking water, well-maintained toilets, and bathrooms, ensuring a pleasant stay. For those who need to stay in a larger group or require independent living, the guest house offers nine rooms suitable for students or groups.
