Gumba Danda Community Homestay

Gumba Danda Community Homestay is the culturally immersive destination located in the region of Batase, Taplejung, Nepal.

Situated through the elevation of approximately at around 1,440 meters, this Gurung village offers fine views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the whole world .

Homestay Experience

The homestay has 10 houses, accommodating up to 65 guests. Each home gives comfortable lodging, traditional Gurung meals, and a great cultural experience. Guests can enjoy:​

Gumba Danda is the gateway to the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and is on route to the Pathibhara Temple, a great pilgrimage site. Visitors can also engage in many farming activities, observe traditional weaving techniques, and enjoy evening cultural programs at request.​
