Tanahun

Tanahun is one of the finest Nepalese districts in Nepal, located in the Gandaki province and well recognized for the green- titled land and thriving traditions; this district is also covered on two sides by the Seti River and Marshyangdi, this heritage plays a significant role in contributing to the economy and promoting agriculture. The main administrative center is Damauli, the gate to many trekking roads and strategic locations. The district is also called home to many culturally rich groups such as Brahmin, Gurung, and Chhetri and Magar societies. Main festivals like Maghe Sankranti, Dashain, and Tihar are enjoyed with great pomp, and colorful rites and rituals.
