Accommodations
Accommodation is on a twin-sharing basis. If you are single, you will get to share the room with a person of the same sex. If you need a single room, it will be available at an extra cost. You may click on the ‘single supplement’ tab while booking your trip. Please remember, single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and at lower elevations while trekking, but at higher reaches, it is very difficult to get a single room.
Standard Package
2 nights’ stay in Kathmandu a 3-star. The hotel lies close to all the major sightseeing places and the international airport. It is located next to the beautiful ‘Garden of Dreams’ (a landscaped garden designed by a Rana nobleman). The hotel offers clean and air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms. Other amenities include free wi-fi, restaurant, coffee shop, and bar.
On the trail spend 9 nights at teahouses or mountain lodges. The rooms are clean and feature shared washroom facilities.
Deluxe Package
Stay for 2 nights at the luxurious Hotel in Kathmandu. The hotel is designed like a Newari royal palace and showcases a fine collection of traditional Newari art. A classy five-star deluxe boutique establishment, Dwarika’s features tastefully decorated rooms, spa, fitness center, swimming pool, restaurants, bar, café, etc.
On the trail, enjoy luxurious accommodation in Lukla, Phakding, and Namche. The properties of Yeti Mountain Homes offer well-appointed rooms with en suite bathrooms (with hot and cold water) and hot drinking water. The beds are warmed with electric mats. Enjoy food prepared from farm fresh organic produce. The resort features a spacious dining hall, living room, spa, bar, etc. At other stops, accommodation will be arranged at the best available lodges. Do remember you are trekking in the wilderness, far from civilization and most lodges will feature basic facilities.
Meals
Breakfast is complimentary at the hotel you will be staying in. While in Kathmandu, for lunch and dinner you can choose from a range of fine dining and budget restaurants. The streets of Thamel are filled with several top-notch restaurants serving eclectic fare.
While trekking, all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are provided. Try local food - dal-Bhat (rice, lentils, curry), momo, Tibetan bread, chapattis, etc, or choose an international platter (apple pie, pancake, pizza, mac & cheese, noodles, etc.). Enjoy a complimentary welcome and farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant.
