Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the best trekking routes in the Himalayan nation of Nepal. In the journey discovery the savory cuisine and feel the unchallenged beauty of the wide range of flora and fauna.

At the trekking journey, you will see the incredible view of Mt Boudha . Mt Hiunchuli, Mt Manaslu and more. The Manaslu Trek starts with the drive on the nice highway and then at the rough scenic road to reach Soti-Khola. We will also continue our trekking towards the Manaslu Valley by crossing through the villages of Jagat-Dyang-Logaon and the famed village known as Samagoan. 

You could see a close view of Mount Manaslu which is the world 8th highest peak hitting at 8,163 m. In addition, you could also get a chance to learn and through the Tibetan Buddhist culture.

Our adventure continues at over high Larkya-la pass to reach through the Dharapani around Manang area where the fabulous Manaslu Circuit trek concludes through the drive back at the city of Kathmandu.

DAY 1

Day 1 Kathmandu to Machha Khola

  • Your journey starts by exploring Kathmandu to Arughat by automobile before you move onward to Soti Khola at the start of the Manaslu region.
  • Travel through charming towns alongside flourishing forests until you reach the quiet settlement of Machha Khola situated near the river with breathtaking landscapes.

DAY 2

Day 2. Machha Khola to Jagat

  • A trail leads from here into the valley while passing numerous waterfalls alongside terraced agriculture before reaching the quaint stone house settlement of Jagat.

DAY 3

Day 3. Jagat to Deng

The trail leads you through forests and picturesque villages until you reach Deng where Tibetan culture resides alongside the start of the high mountain area.

DAY 4

Day 4. Deng to Namrung

  • You will reach Namrung when you climb higher which offers both Tibetan cultural immersion and fantastic mountain panoramas.

DAY 5

Day 5. Namrung to Lho

A short, pleasant trek to Lho, a village offering awe-inspiring views of Manaslu and its surrounding peaks, with a clear view of the soaring Himalayan range.

DAY 6

Day 6. Lho to Sama Gaon

The journey leads to Sama Gaon where you will base yourself to acclimatize while enjoying the peace of this quaint village.

DAY 7

Day 7. Sama Gaon: Rest and Exploration Day

  • Stay for an entire day in Sama Gaon for acclimatization purposes. Visitors can discover two main attractions at Birendra Tal alongside Pungyen Gompa and chose to explore the Manaslu Base Camp for an insanely memorable adventure.

DAY 8

Day 8. Sama Gaon to Samdo

Continue your journey to Samdo by entering this Himalayan settlement which shows Tibetan traditions while offering panoramic vistas of mountains above.

DAY 9

Day 9. Samdo to Larkya Phedi/Dharamsala

  • The path leads toward Larkya Phedi (Dharamsala) so trekking participants can rest before facing the difficult Larkya La Pass. The elevation intensity grows more pronounced since you are about to start climbing.

DAY 10

Day 10. Dharamsala to Larkya La (5,160m) to Bimthang (3,720m)

Your journey faces a demanding yet exhilarating trek to cross the steep mountain pass of Larkya La which allows you to see distant snow-capped peaks while descending to Bimthang.

DAY 11

Day 11. Bimthang to Gho (2,515m)

The route after passing through Larkya La brings you easier terrain through dense woods accompanied by agricultural areas until you reach the delightful village of Gho.

DAY 12

Day 12. Gho to Dharapani (1,920m)

The descent progresses through various towns ending at the important transit point of Dharapani which connects to the Annapurna Circuit.

DAY 13

Day 13. Dharapani to Besi Sahar (760m) to Kathmandu (1,300m) – 9-10 hrs drive

  • Finishing your trek at Besi Sahar you will embark on a lengthy journey back to Kathmandu to review your amazing Manaslu regional expedition.

Good To Know

1. Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (MRAP)
-A permit is necessary because the Nepalese government designated the Manaslu area as restricted.

-Seasonal changes affect the pricing of Manaslu region access.

-September to November: USD 100 per person for the first 7 days, then USD 15 per day thereafter.

-December to August: USD 75 per person for the first 7 days, then USD 10 per day thereafter.

-The government only permits registered trekking agencies to secure permits because independent trekkers are not permitted access.

 

2. Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP)

-Issued by the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) to support conservation efforts.

-Cost: NPRs 3000 per person (same price year-round).

 

3. Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)

-Hikers must obtain this permit since their journey will exit through Annapurna Conservation Area.

-One must pay NPRs 3000 for any time of year to obtain the permit.

 

Additional Permit Requirements

-A necessity for the trek is the MRAP instead of the TIMS card.

-Two trekkers need to join forces with a licensed tour guide for applying the permit.

-You require original passport documents while submitting recent passport photos as part of the permit application system.

-The trek demands these permits so it is advisable to obtain them through licensed trekking agencies to smooth your journey.
