Situated in the far-western lowlands of Nepal, Bardia National Park is a gem for wildlife lovers and adventure fans. It's the largest and least explored of the finest Nepalese national parks, offering a more authentic and off-the-beaten-path safari experience compared to the more commercialized and well-known Nepalese state of Chitwan.

Home to a diverse range of species, Bardia offers fine chances to spot:

  • Leopards, Sloth Bears, and Crocodiles

How to Reach There

  • By Air: Fly from Kathmandu to the glorious Nepalgunj (1 hr.), then drive until two hrs. at Bardia.
  • By Road: 14–16 hrs. Drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara; you must face a more scenic but long distance, but the long journey will be worth it.
