Itinerary

Our representatives will receive you at the airport, and you will be transferred to a hotel. You will be introduced to the Guide on the same day.

The very next day, you will drive to Manthali from Kathmandu. The drive will start very early at 2/3 am, and the ride is 4 hours long. However, there is an option of directly flying from Kathmandu too. If everything is fine at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you can take the direct flight.

Hop aboard for a thrilling flight to Lukla airport, along with some beautiful scenic views from the windows. As soon as you set foot on Lukla, your journey to the Everest Base Camp begins. You will have a little rest, some light breakfast or tea/coffee then start the trek to Phakding.

Begin your trek by following the flat trail towards Dudhkoshi after crossing a bridge at Phakding. The path will lead you to Jorsalle after a 3-hour hike. During your hike, you will have seen Thamserku, Kusum Kanguru, and Monjo Khumbi la above Namche. JorSalle serves as an entry point for the Sagarmatha National Park; your permits will be checked 20 minutes before reaching Jorsalle. Get an impressive view of the Tangboche peak from the Hillary Bridge across Tyangboche, and after a half, an hour climb witness the magnificent Mount Everest! You will have to climb up in higher altitude for about two and a half-hour after crossing the Hillary Bridge.

Day 5 will be taken as an Acclimatization day. Take this day as an opportunity to explore the beautiful and rugged village of Namche.  Begin the day with the view of Mount Everest and then hike to Thame village or Khumjung Khunde Village from the Syangboche airport (3790m), the world's highest airport! Also, enjoy your meal at none of the worlds' highest-altitude hotels at the Hotel Everest View! Visit the museum above Namche in the military campsite and a Sherpa Cultural Museum where you can watch a video by paying some money.

After leaving Namche Bazaar, you will climb up a little and start the trail towards Kyangjuma. You will see views of beautiful mountains and then slowly head towards the Dudhkoshi River and then immediately ascend to Tyangboche. You will visit the Tyangboche monastery, where you will observe a prayer ceremony, whether in the evening or the morning.

The trail from Tengboche to Dingboche will take you through a luscious forest of Rhododendrons and dwarf conifers towards the Imja River. Cross the bridge there and ascend to Pangboche (3860m). The beautiful Ama Dablam Mountain will accompany you as you make way to the oldest monastery in the Khumbu valley. You can see Mount Pumori (7165m) after passing Shomare (4020m) and Orsho. Afterward, you will reach a junction where the upper left trail takes you to Pheriche, and the lower right takes you to Dingboche.

You can take another day for acclimatization at Dingboche (Nangkartshang Peak 5100m). Have a trip to Chhukung valley and visit the Chhukung Ri (5546m) and catch a glimpse of the fifth highest mountain, Makalu (8463m). If you want a little bit of adventure, then you can trek to the Nagarjun Hill above Dingboche.

You are already at a high altitude, so make sure to walk slowly and drink enough water as you will be climbing to higher altitudes from now on. You will have some hot tea, coffee at Dhugla, also known as Thukla (4620m). After nearly 40 minutes of steep ascend, you will see at the top of the ridge a memorial of those who lost their lives while climbing the mountain. You will get a superb view mount Pumori on the way to Lobuche, and even more, you can see Mount Nuptse smiling at you from your lodge.

The next morning you will head out on a path following the Khumbu glacier towards Gorakshep, which will then lead to the Everest base camp. We suggest you drink enough water and some energy bars like snickers as you get closer to Mount Everest. Take a lunch and rest yourself for a couple of hours before continuing on your trail to Mount Everest with more water and snickers. Although you might not be able to see Mount Everest from the base camp, this trip will allow you to set foot on Everest! Be sure to wear proper equipment to face the harsh weather!

Now you will head out early in the morning towards Kala Pathar (5545m) to fulfill what you could not achieve the other day, get a proper view of the Mount Everest! Along with Everest, you will enjoy the views of other spectacular mountains and the Khumbu Glacier. And with that, you will trek back to Pheriche to spend the night.

With your adventurous trek to the Everest base camp and Kala Pathar, the program comes to an end, and you will trek back to Namche from Pheriche in the morning.

This will be your final day to feel the chilly winds of the Himalayas. You will trek back to Lukla, where you will spend the night and wait for the flight to Kathmandu the next morning.

After you arrive in Kathmandu from Lukla, you will have the entire day for yourself. You can rest if you feel worn out and maybe even stroll around the local streets to enjoy some local cuisines. Thamel is a great place to relax, do some shopping and eat good food, be sure to check it out!

This day is for sightseeing and exploring the Kathmandu city. The excursion is kept after the trek because Kathmandu gets problems due to bad weather. You can also shift this trip to the second day of the journey instead of flying to Lukla. You will visit Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath stupa on this day.

Good to know

You also have the option to fly directly from Kathmandu to Lukla. The drive to Manthalai and flight from Manthali to Lukla is in case the Tribhuwan International Airport is facing difficulties.
