Makalu Base Camp Trek takes you on a journey to the solitary trails across pristine waterfalls, glaciers, lush green forests, and the exquisite Himalayan lifestyle. This is a perfect option for you if you aspire to trek in high altitude landscape with a snowy peak on the backdrop exploring the life at the Himalayas. While this trekking journey has a lot of offer, this trekking journey is one of the toughest given a large number of ascends you will have to make across steep trails.
This journey commences from Tumlingtar and this will mostly be a camping adventure because of the availability of basic lodging up to the place named Num. The journey becomes strenuous as much as it becomes strenuous from the place Num till we get to Tashigaon. We have a massive climb to Khongma from Tashigaon. There will be adequate days separated for acclimatization. We move across glacial valleys, beautiful lakes, hills, jungles and get to savor the amazing views of the mighty Everest as well as Lhotse. This trekking journey is a once in a lifetime experience you should not miss.

Dos
- You have to be well conscious to make yourself either to walk in a collection of the group as well as maintaining distance from the folks you see walking either behind or in front of you.
- If you are scheduling or trying something new during the trek make certain you consult and ask permission from your guide.
- Interconnect with the guide about the belongings you might need next day as you can pack it in your pouch while rest is maintained by the porter for your ease.
- Make sure you provide at the donation boxes at monasteries around the trekking zone as they do not charge tickets for the visitors round this trek.
- If you sense uneasy and rough make sure you notify your guide while climbing higher altitude as your well-being is the most chief factor while ascending higher altitude.

- While this hike is rich with ethos and principles of the local community, some practices may be uneasy for you to handle. Please do not disapprove the local culture and beliefs even though you are troubled with it.
- Ask the approval of the local people while taking images of them.
- People here are sociable in nature; Do not feel uncertain when folks stare at you; they are just attentive in visitors and have no ill meanings.
- Extravagant facilities are hard to find out during the trek while basic accommodations can only be provided seeking the difficulty of the geographical regions you are located at.
- Harmful nature towards floras and faunas along the trek should be avoidable at any cost as you should be answerable on the way to the environment.
- Contributing money to people will inspire children and beggars to have a perception to beg more from the visitors which is why such an act should be totally avoided.
