Panchase Trek takes you on a voyage to explore the nearby surroundings of Pokhara; you get the opportunity to see the rural life, majestic mountains, and amazing natural scenery. Your trekking journey commences with a boat trip to the Fewa lake after which a short ascend marks the beginning of this trek. You will be amazed by the majestic views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu peaks in the background along the way. The main highlight of this trek is the Panchase Hill from where you can see beautiful sunrise view above the snow-clad mountains.
A day-by-day guide to your journey
Upon your arrival at the international airport in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel by our representative at the Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. You can take a rest, and afterward you will be provided with all the necessary briefing on the trek, including information on food, lodges, and dos and don’ts on the trek. A delicious welcome dinner awaits you in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
We board the tourist bus or a private vehicle to leave for Pokhara in the morning depending on our group’s size. You will be transferred to the hotel of your stay near the Fewa Lake. We will have leisure time in the afternoon for strolling around the area. Note that you also have the option to fly to Pokhara, which will take around 30 minutes.
After having a hearty breakfast, we move to Thado Khola via drive as we move past the beautiful Davis Fall. We start our trekking journey to Bhumdi as we reach Thado Khola. The trek commences with a long walk uphill to a ridge, after which we descend to Bhumdi. We walk across a beautiful, lush green forest on our way. We will be able to see amazing views of the Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna ranges, and Himalchuli. We spend the night in tents. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
First, we have a short uphill walk, and then we move along lush green forests where we can enjoy the views of the snowy peaks time and again. This is a great opportunity to witness diverse vegetation as well as wildlife. We will hear birds chirping above us. Later this trail joins the dirt road where we can savor the panoramic views of the Lamjung, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Gangapurna peaks. We will also spot Annapurna I and Manaslu along with Dhaulagiri. As we continue along this trail, we reach the Panchase Bhanjyang. This place is home to the Brahmin and Gurung people.
First thing in the morning, we walk upon the stone steps (500 meters) to reach Panchase peak. We ascend the height of 2500 meters; this is the highest point of this trekking journey. We get a clear panoramic view of the snowy peaks that had been teasing us while we were walking along the forest. We have a hearty breakfast at the peak. We move down to Bhadaure, which is our overnight stop.
We descend down, gradually crossing many villages. Our trekking path joins the road as we reach Naudanda and then we drive to Pokhara. We have the option to extend this journey by taking one of the alternative variations in the trek.
We take a tourist bus or board a private vehicle based on our group’s size to reach Kathmandu Valley. You will be transferred to the hotel around Thamel upon arrival. Note that you also have the option to take a thirty-minute’ flight to Kathmandu.
This is your last day in Nepal. You will be transferred to the airport from where you had gone back to your native country or your next travel destination.
