Panchase Trek takes you on a voyage to explore the nearby surroundings of Pokhara; you get the opportunity to see the rural life, majestic mountains, and amazing natural scenery. Your trekking journey commences with a boat trip to the Fewa lake after which a short ascend marks the beginning of this trek. You will be amazed by the majestic views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu peaks in the background along the way. The main highlight of this trek is the Panchase Hill from where you can see beautiful sunrise view above the snow-clad mountains.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at the international airport in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel by our representative at the Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. You can take rest and afterward you will be provided with all the necessary briefing on the trek including information on food, lodges, dos and don’ts on the trek. A delicious welcome dinner awaits you in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

We board on the tourist bus or a private vehicle to leave for Pokhara in the morning depending on our group’s size. You will b transferred to the hotel of your stay near the Fewa Lake. We will have leisure time in the afternoon for strolling around the area. Note that you also have the option to fly to Pokhara which will take around 30 minutes.

After having a hearty breakfast, we move to Thado Khola via drive as we move past the beautiful Davis Fall. We start our trekking journey to Bhumdi as we reach Thado Khola. The trek commences with a long walk uphill to a ridge after which we descend to Bhumdi. We walk across a beautiful, lush green forest on our way. We will be able to see amazing views of the Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna ranges, Himalchuli. We spend the night in tents. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

First, we have a short uphill walk and then we move along lush green forests where we can enjoy the views of the snowy peaks time and again. This is a great opportunity to witness diverse vegetation as well as wildlife. We will hear birds chirping above us. Later this trail joins the dirt road where we can savor the panoramic views of the Lamjung, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Gangapurna peaks. We will also spot the Annapurna I, Manaslu along with Dhaulagiri. As w continue along this trail, we reach the Panchase Bhanjyang.  This place is home to the Brahmin and Gurung people.

First thing in the morning, we walk upon the stone steps (500 meters) to reach Panchase peak. We ascend the height of 2500 meters; this is the highest point of this trekking journey. We get a clear panoramic view of the snowy peaks that had been teasing us while we were walking along the forest.  We have a hearty breakfast at the peak. We move down to Bhadaure which is our overnight stop.

We descend down gradually crossing many villages. Our trekking path joins the road as we reach Naudanda and then w drive to Pokhara. We have the option to extend this journey by taking one of the alternative variations in the trek.

We take a tourist bus or board a private vehicle based on our group’s size to reach Kathmandu valley. You will be transferred to the hotel around Thamel upon arrival. Note that you also have the option to take a thirty minutes’flight to Kathmandu.

This is your last day in Nepal. You will be transferred to the airport from where you had back to your native country or your next travel destination.

Good to know

Dos

  • Smile and greet the locals by saying the phrase “Namaste” or “Tashidelek”
  • Maintain a distance from people you see walking in front or behind you and walk with a group in the trek.
  • Please refer to your guide if you are planning on trying something new while trekking
  • Communicate with the guide about the things you might need next day as you can pack it in your pouch while rest is supported by the porter for your convenience.
  • Make sure you donate at the donation boxes at monasteries around the trekking zone as they do not have ticket charges for the visitors around this trek.
  • If you feel uneasy and uncomfortable make sure you inform your guide while ascending higher altitude as your health is the most important factor while ascending higher altitude.

Don’ts

  • Make sure you respect the local culture and beliefs while it may be uneasy for you to believe it and do not condemn their beliefs and values
  • Without former confirmation of the local people in the trek, do not take pictures of the local persons.
  • Do not sense awkwardness when folks look at you; they are just anxious in tourists and have no ill objectives.
  • Extravagant services are hard to find out during the trek while basic accommodations can only be provided seeking the strain of the geographical regions you are located at
  • Make sure you do not destroy the floras and faunas during the hike; be in control about the environment around you.
  • Make sure that you do not be liberal by providing money to people; such an act will only boost children and beggars from pleading money from supplementary visitors around the trek.
