The Annapurna Circuit trek is a popular trekking route around the Annapurna region which takes you around the whole Annapurna massif reaching to the Thorong La Pass at the height of 5416 meters. This trail takes you to the world’s deepest gorge namely the Kali Gandaki gorge along with the Annapurna I (8091 meters) on the east and Dhaulagiri (8167 meters) to the west. If you are short of time or just prefer short treks, this is the ideal trail for you; you have the option of trekking for eight days.
On this trek, we will get to explore the Manang, Jomsom and Muktinath regions. This is a great opportunity to experience the diverse terrains Nepal has to offer along with the unique culture and lifestyle of the local people. Apart from this, you can savor the views of the majestic Himalayas like the Mt. Manaslu, Himal Chuli and so on. Likewise, you will witness mountain communities of the Thakkali, Gurung and Manangi people. This trekking journey starts from Besisahar moving on to Cham and then the beautiful Pisang valley.
Upon your coming to the steps of the renowned Kathmandu airport, you will be gone at the designated hotel assigned by us, and you will be welcomed towards the nation of Nepal with a hot dinner along with excellent and impressive Nepalese cultural dance. You will get enough time to prepare for the trek. Overnight stays will be made at the hotel.
After a hearty breakfast, we will leave for Besisahar via local jeep and then head to CHame. This will take around seven to eight hours.
Our trekking journey starts on this day as we head to Pisang. We will get to see the picturesque views of snow clad mountains throughout the trail. After an uphill climb for 25 or 30 minutes, we reach the Upper Pisang where we visit the Buddhist Monastery. Get to lower Manang. Overnight stay in Guesthouse.
After a hearty breakfast, we head to Manang as our trail leads us through Hongdae village with high snowy peaks on the backdrop. We will witness the Annapurna II, Tilicho peak, Gangapurna and the right Chuli on the east along with Pisang peak on the background. We will reach Manang within four or five hours.
On this day, w can hike to the Ice lake or to the tea shop near the Gangapurna base camp from where we will see the majestic Himalayas like the Pisang peak, Gangapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Tilicho peak, Peak 38 and Thorung peak. We stay overnight at Manang village.
This trail blesses us with the close-up views of CHuli peak from mid and west, along with Cloche, Gangapurna and Annapurna II. We will reach the small village Yak Kharka and stay overnight there.
After spending quality time in Manang, we move to Thorang Phedi. We will witness the amazing view of Gangapurna, Cloche, Annapurna II and the view of Chuli peak at close proximity. If you do not feel too exhausted, we can continue our trek to upper Phedi or the high camp; there are some teahouses as well as lodges there, this will make our trek easier the next day and shorten the walking time to the pass.
After a hearty breakfast early in the morning, we will head to the top of the pass and catch the amazing views of the peaks, namely, Damodar, Bhirkuti, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna range. This will be a criss-cross path; after walking for an hour, we get to a small tea house. We reach the top of the pass after one and half hour. We reach Thorang La pass after walking uphill for three or four hours. We will see high mountains from here. We head to Muktinath now where we can get refreshed at tea houses. After the break, we continue for Muktinath, the sacred place for Hindus and Buddhist people.
We head to Jomsom from Muktinath on this day. The trail is going to be as difficult as it was when we were moving to Thorang La pass. It will take around five to six hours to reach Jomsom.
After a hearty breakfast, we take the tiny 25-minute flight from Jomsom to the prosperous city of Pokhara. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay at Pokhara, a calm and lively town.
After having a delicate and light breakfast, we will travel by tourist bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu, which takes around six to seven hours. Upon arrival through the heart of Kathmandu, you'll be taken to your designated hotel for a great overnight stay.
Our journey comes to an end on this day. You shall then be taken to the airport for your flight back to your native land. You fly back home leaving Nepal behind.
