Trip Overview
The Annapurna Circuit trek is a popular trekking route around the Annapurna region which takes you around the whole Annapurna massif reaching to the Thorong La Pass at the height of 5416 meters. This trail takes you to the world’s deepest gorge namely the Kali Gandaki gorge along with the Annapurna I (8091 meters) on the east and Dhaulagiri (8167 meters) to the west. If you are short of time or just prefer short treks, this is the ideal trail for you; you have the option of trekking for eight days.
On this trek, we will get to explore the Manang, Jomsom and Muktinath regions. This is a great opportunity to experience the diverse terrains Nepal has to offer along with the unique culture and lifestyle of the local people. Apart from this, you can savor the views of the majestic Himalayas like the Mt. Manaslu, Himal Chuli and so on. Likewise, you will witness mountain communities of the Thakkali, Gurung and Manangi people. This trekking journey starts from Besisahar moving on to Cham and then the beautiful Pisang valley.

ESSENTIAL TREK INFO
Good to Know
1. Trekking Equipment
We have provided some information below which will give you an idea about what important items you should bring along in the trek as an apt backpack and gar has an important role to play for the success of the trip especially when you are trekking. We suggest you bring all the important gear for the trip and not carry unnecessary things that will just add the weight. Check the list below:
- Good down Sleeping bag; optional (Note that we can provide one if necessary which is to be returned at the end of the trek)
- Rucksack bag or duffel bag; to keep your gear, this will be carried by porters
- Daypack bag for personal use
- Down Jacket
- Shade hat
- Warm wool hat to keep your ears warm
- A pair of lightweight, warm gloves
- T-shirts; two or three pieces
- Lightweight thermal tops.
- Fleece jacket.
- Fleece Wind-proved jacket (optional)
- A pair's nylon hiking shorts; quick drying one
- Underwear
- Two pairs of lightweight long underwear.
- Two pairs trekking pants, preferably the zip on/off at the knees so they can be used as shorts
- Four pairs of liner warm socks
- A pair of light to medium weight waterproof trekking /hiking boots.
- A pair of light trekking shoes for lodge/camp
- A pair sandal (Optional)
- A water bottle.
- Head/Torch Light.
2. Medicines And First Aid Kits
- for altitude-related problems (headaches) like DMX, carry extra Strength Excedrin
- for general aches and pains, carry Ibuprofen.
- Imodium or Peptone besom, Flexon capsules for upset stomach or diarrhea.
- for altitude sickness, Diamox 125 or 250mg or 400mg tablets
- One small personalized first-aid kit with blister treatments such as anti-infection ointments, moleskin, some waterproof tape, band-aids, etc.(We, at Sherpa expedition and Trekking company, provide you with first aid kits)
3. Miscellaneous but Mandatory
- Passport and extra passport photographs (Four copies)
- Water-proof wallet/pouch for money, passport and travel documents.
- Lip care (Balm) With at least SPF 20 (2 sticks)
- We recommend Sun's cream with SPF 40
- Pocket knife.
- Iodine tablets for Water purification
- Toiletry kits along with toilet paper inside a plastic bag, hand wipes, and soap, liquid hand sanitizer, towel, etc.
Note Regarding Itineraries:
Even if we normally adhere to the given schedule, the itinerary is subject to change for several reasons which are beyond our control. This includes weather and landscape conditions, apt campsite availability, and the general fitness level of the group members.
It is necessary to understand that our trek is logistically complex and it is not atypical that adjustments might have to be made.
