The bus will take you immediately to Nepalgunj, then to Surkhet, Dailekh, Kalikot, Jumla, and Nagma Sija. Travellers with more time on their disposal and a desire for more adventure on tour may consider taking a road trip.
By Air
Talcha Airport, commonly known as Rara Airport, is the district's domestic airport. This is the quickest but most arduous route. It would help if you first travelled to Nepalgunj, which takes around 50 minutes.
There are several ways to go to Mugu from Nepalgunj. To get to Mugu, you can take the bus, walk, or fly to Talcha Airport. Nepal Carriers, Summit Air, and Tara Airlines are some of the regular airlines.
When Is The Best Time To Visit Mugu District?
Because Mugu is located in the Himalayan area, the winter season may not suit all visitors. You can also travel to the winter season if you are looking for adventure. The rainy season is also unfavourable because of the poor weather.
It will be tough to get there by plane or by car. So, March to May and September to December are the best times to visit the Mugu area.
Rara National Park - Mugu District

Rara Lake - Mugu District

From Kathmandu, you may either fly or take the bus. You'll need to fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and then to Talcha Airport if you're flying. Nepalgunj is around 50 minutes away by plane from Kathmandu.
Then, from Nepalgunj, you may fly, take a vehicle, or walk to Talcha. It takes 2 hours by car and around 5-6 hours by hiking. You can go by bus from Kathmandu, but it will take more than two days to get to Rara.
Rafting and Kayaking
