The road to Salyan is only suggested for individuals who want an exciting journey or a limited budget. Because it is a long and challenging trip, the Prithivi Highway's rough road and traffic will exhaust you.

Salyan is located 518 kilometres west of Kathmandu. Because there is no direct bus from Kathmandu to Salyan, you will need to change vehicles. You may take public transportation to Dhalkebar from Gongabu Bus Park.

Dhalkebar is around 11 hours away. You may take a public bus or book a car to get to Salyan from Dhalkebar, which takes about 2 hours.

By Air

The city of Nepalgunj is reached through an exciting domestic flight from Kathmandu. The quickest and fastest method to get to Janakpur is via plane, which takes about 45 minutes. There are numerous early morning flights, so arrive in plenty of time for your flight to Salyan. The journey from Janakpur to Salyan takes around 2-3 hours.

This district's average temperature ranges from 3.9 to 28.2 degrees Celsius. From June through August, the sky will be clear, and there will be plenty of sunshine. Mulpani Botanical Garden

Muplani Botanical Garden was founded in 1990 and covered 5.5 hectares of land. Mulpani Village, near Kapurbot Bazaar, is home to this botanical garden. There are more than 30 orchid species protected in this garden. There are also several valuable and therapeutic plants cultivated here.

Kupinde Lake

Kupinde Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Rapti Zone. This lake is 23.53 hectares in size, with a depth of 34 meters, a length of 834 meters, and 538 meters. This lake lies at an elevation of 1120 meters above sea level. Around 25 kilometres west of Khalanga is Kupinde Lake.

This lake is surrounded by beautiful green hills, making for a spectacular scene. This lake has never been tampered with, and as a result, it is spotless. Locals claim that the hue of this lake changes three times a year.

Barahdev shrine is located near this lake. Devotees visit this lake twice a year to offer their respects; once in February and in April.

Kumakh Hill

This hilltop is 2,537 meters above sea level and is located north of Salyan. This is the highest point in the Salyan District. Many Hindu worshippers visit this hill as a pilgrimage destination. Siddheswari Mandir is the name of the temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva.

Picturesque and spectacular natural surroundings surround Kumakh's hilltop. The walk to the peak takes around 2 hours. Your walk will be remembered for the breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri, Sisne, Chakhure, and other minor peaks.

The beautiful green vast stretch of plains to terai in the south may also be seen. Some areas of Kumakh hill also include undiscovered caverns.

Chattreswori Devi Temple

The goddess Chattreswori Devi is honoured in the Chattreswori Devi Temple. This is Nepal's only Shaktipith temple where no animals are sacrificed.

Lord Shiva allegedly laid the dead body of Satidevi (his wife) at this temple, according to Swostahni's tale. Hindu devotees place a high value on this temple. The Khalanga district is 19 kilometres away from this temple. This temple covers an area of 50 ropani.

Khairabang Temple

At 1600 feet above sea level, this shrine is located in Sarada Municipality. Those devotees who wish to be free of wrath, greed, desire, and envy are supposed to come here.

Thousands of devotees would assemble twice a year to offer an animal as a sacrifice to Goddess Bhawani Bhuwaneswari. This temple may be accessible through road from Khalanga.
