Accommodation facility at Annapurna Base Camp
We offer you the best three-star hotel when in the city and the best teahouses/lodges throughout the trek. A teahouse or lodge provides the service of a restaurant, a hotel as well as a hang out place. Rooms have bed, pillows, and blankets. We do not have deluxe hotels on the upper regions so you have to accommodate in teahouses and lodges.
Food
Lunch and dinner are available at the tea houses. You will have to do your lunch in one of the tea houses during the trail. Each and every tea house offers the traditional Nepali meal namely the Daal Bhaat (Rice and lentils). Other options are also available like pizza, pasta, French fries and so on. Beverages are also available both cold drinks and alcoholic drinks. We recommend you to stay away from alcoholic drinks on the trek and bring water purification tablets.
Trekking Staff
The trekking staff includes guides and porters. The trekking guide is in charge of your trekking journey. You can talk to him or her about all of your problems if you have any during the journey. The guide is well trained and experienced when it comes to the matters of trekking, altitude sickness and medicines, first aid and emergency solutions.
Do note that a guide is a local person; s/he may have Basic English and may only know about the aspects related to trek.
The porters carry your luggage and are local citizens. On porter may carry around 20 to 25 kg weight. We provide one porter for two trekkers.
Respect Local Culture
Nepalese people are very friendly and cheerful so there is minimal chance of having any difficulty in adjusting here. While entering into some Hindu temples, do make sure whether or not non-Hindus are allowed to enter.
If you are permitted, make sure you do not take leather materials inside the temple and never walk around the temple and stupa in a clockwise direction. Do not forget to take permission for the authorized personnel when taking pictures.
