The trek begins at Pokhara city, sandwiched between the Annapurna Range and peaceful Phewa Lake, before going through the great Nayapool, a small town just a two-hour drive from Pokhara. From here, the journey also takes through the tremendous lush forests of rhododendron, bamboo, and juniper, leading to Poon Hill, a renowned viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of the incredible surrounding peaks. As the trek continues, you will pass all through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, eventually reaching the highlight of the trek—Annapurna Base Camp—where you are surrounded by the towering mountains, including Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, as well as Nilgiri. A day-by-day guide to your journey
Upon arrival at the tremendous and world-famous Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be received by our representative at the regular Nepal Trekking Routes. You will later be transferred to the assigned hotel and spend some time cooling and relaxing. Our hardworking staff will warmly welcome you and will provide a healthy dinner. We will take care of your overnight stay.
Upon having a tasty and brilliant breakfast, we will go to the incomparable places around Kathmandu city with the renowned tour guide with all the qualifications and experience you might need for such a tour. You will go through the Hindu revered Pashupatinath temple, the great Buddhist shrines Swoyambhunath and Boudhanath and the incomparable Kathmandu Durbar Square. You will also be provided a briefing during the trekking journey later in the evening, either by the tremendous trekking guide or veteran intelligent leader. Overnight stays will be in Kathmandu, where you can chill and relax.
We board on the flight to Pokhara from the airport at Kathmandu. This scenic flight is a chance to enjoy the scenic beauty of Nepal. We have the option to drive to Pokhara as well. It will take around six hours. Overnight stay at Pokhara.
The trekking journey begins on this day. We drive from Pokhara to the place called Naya Pool. We start from Nayapool following the village trail along the Modi River. We reach Birethanti in around two hours. We move past Sudami and reach Tikhe Dhunga. Overnight stay at Tikhe Dhunga.
We walk through oak and rhododendron forest. We move past several streams to get to Nangethanti where we have our lunch and then finally reach Ghorepani in around two hours. We stay at Ghorepani for the night.
A hectic hike to Poonhill is one of the best highlights of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Poon Hill, which stands at a height of 3210 meters, is a fantastic viewpoint in this region to see the Fishtail, Dhaulagiri and incredible Annapurna peaks. It will take around one and a half hours to reach the fine Poonhill. We get back to Ghorepani and eat breakfast. We head to Tadapani en route to Banthanti. Overnight stay at Tadapani.
We follow the Modi river while moving to Chhomrong. We will be at Himanchuli’s cusp when we reach Chhomrong. Overnight stay at Chhomrong.
We walk through the lush green forest of rhododendron and pine after we cross the river Chhomrong. We walk past the villages namely Kuldi Ghar, Sinuwa and Bamboo. We finally reach Dobhan (2540 meters). Overnight stay at Dobhan.
We will witness diverse wildlife and vegetation as we move ahead. We can savour the view of the majestic mountain peaks. We can witness the Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) on this day. We explore the intriguing Hinku cave which is situated beneath a cliff. Overnight stay at Deurali.
We walk across boulders as well as moraines on this day. We move through the Machhapuchhre Base Camp and reach the Annapurna Sanctuary. We walk for forty-five minutes to get to the Annapurna Base Camp. We can savor amazing views that surround the Annapurna peaks.
We retrace our steps back to Sinuwa. This is going to be comfortable as we move down; this is going to take around five hours.
We move downhill as we start from Sinuwa. Then, we move uphill to reach Kimrong from where we head to Deurali. We will see amazing views of the snow-clad mountains on the way. We reach Ghandruk, the famous Gurung village which is home to a Gurung museum as well. Overnight stay at Ghandruk.
On this day, we return to Nayapool en route Birethanti and then we drive back to Pokhara from there. Overnight stay at Pokhara.
We get back to Kathmandu enjoying the amazing scenes along the highway. This will take around six hours.
Based on departure time, you will be transferred to the international airport from where you will head to your native land or your next travel destination.
