Annapurna Short trek, namely the Ghorepani-PoonHill trek is one of the well-received treks by both beginner and veteran trekkers who come to Nepal.  The trek begins from Pokhara after a two-day hike from the placed named Nayapul. 

You reach to Poon Hill from Nayapul; Poonhill locates at the height of 3210 meters from the sea level. You will get the opportunity to see the beautiful sunrise in the morning and then relish the scenic beauty of the mountains like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Tukuche Peak, Annapurna South, Machhapuchre, Himchuli and so on. 

The major highlights of this trek are the chance to observe the Magar community in Ulleri and the Gurung village in Ghandruk.  On this fantastic trekking journey, you will get to see snow-capped mountains, beautiful rhododendron forests and cosy teahouses; the best time to experience all this is in the spring season. It will let you witness the diverse and beautiful landscape of Nepal. On this short trek, you will then adjourn your journey by trekking back the same route you followed previously, and finally, your trip concludes.

Itinerary

One of our representatives will come to pick you up at the airport and leave you to your hotel via private vehicle. Details on the forthcoming trek will be provided here.

You will be picked up at 6:30 am by our trekking staff and you will then be escorted to the bus station. The bus for Pokhara leaves from Kathmandu at 7:30 am. You will reach Pokhara after 7 hours drive following Trisuli and Marsyandi River on the way. You can enjoy the majestic scenes of mountains and stroll around the lakeside on the day of arrival to Pokhara. You will spend the night at a hotel.

Our trekking journey commences from the village named Birethani where we reach via private vehicle from Pokhara after an hour’s drive. We reach Ulleri from Birethani after ascending for two hours. The night will be spent at a guest house.

This easy trail offers the majestic views of Mt. Fish Tail, Hiunchuli and Annapurna south. We move through rhododendron forest on the way to Ghorepani and stay at a guest house for the night.

We have a hike to Poonhill early in the morning. You will get to see the beautiful sunrise view over different mountain ranges covered with snow. Then, we hike down to Ghorepani and after a hearty breakfast, we move to Tadapani. This trail has pine and rhododendron forests which is a treat to the eyes. Overnight at a guesthouse.

We descend from the trails of Ghandruk through rhododendron, oak, and other forests. This is a good place for bird watching. Ghandruk is popular for its Gurung village and is home to many Gorkha soldiers. It is well-received for the beautiful views it has to offer. You will explore all of this and stay overnight at a guesthouse.

This is an easy trek where you will descend to Kinchi and cross Seulibazar en route Birethani and then head back to Pokhara.
