Trip Overview

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek with a Wildlife Adventure tour gives a great view of nature and culture, giving a beautiful jungle safari at the tremendous and Nepalese famed Chitwan National Park with the chance to see the mystic Himalayas at the trek to the Ghorepani. The Poon Hill Trek is well known for the incredible panoramic views through the peaks of Poon Hill (3,200m), where trekkers are treated to views of no more than 21 peaks which sit at an altitude between 6,500 and 8,168 meters long. The climb is also very short and accessible, offering trekkers a chance to see some of the highest peaks in the globe, such as Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Nilgiri (6,940m) and many more. Poon Hill is often known to be "Photographer's Paradise" for its great inspiring scenes, making it a great and impressive spot for seeing the overall beauty of the great Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. The sunrise through Poon Hill is an unforgettable and brilliant experience, with the first light casting through the golden glow all through the snow-capped peaks, creating a dramatic and incredible scene, which is the major highlight of the amazing trek.

As you trek in Ghorepani, you will travel through the dense rhododendron forests, pass icy waterfalls, and enjoy the tremendous subtropical valleys that make the trail incredibly diverse. The trek gives a pleasing experience as you go through the warm-hearted and happy-natured village people and great leveled terraced fields, meeting local communities such as the brave Gurungs and Magars, who have lived in harmony with the mountains for ages. Ghorepani and Ghandruk are two of the main Gurung settlements through the beautiful Annapurna region, offering trekkers a glimpse into the traditional lifestyles of these ethnic groups. Along with the delicate natural beauty, the trek gives the best opportunity to experience the culture and hospitality of Nepal's mountain communities, making the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek not only a fine visual treat but also an introspective into the rich cultural heritage of the region.
