Anushka Shrestha's BWAP Project

After the 7.8 Mw earthquake in 2015 in Nepal, several lives have been affected, including the community of Solsing who have lost their residence and jobs.

Anushka's project is based on two primary principles:

  1. Education for the children
  2. Raising the living standard of people in Solsing

Education

The winner of the Multimedia Award hired several private school teachers to provide education to the students, handing out lunch boxes, and providing study materials.

Livelihood Generation

For this objective, women of Solsing were taught to weave carpets, make incense sticks and candles, while the male folks were trained to cut stones and bake bricks.

The 24-years-old Nepalese beauty with the help of investors has helped generate stable income in Sindhupalchowk's households.
